Party Tips

So, you've taken the plunge: you're planning a dinner party - congratulations!

But then the anxiety sets in. Will everyone like the food? Will you finish making it on time? And before you even get to the food, what on earth do you do with the table?

Remember these three handy tips and you should be well on your way to having a great party!

1.    The preparation

Always try to make sure the dishwasher is completely empty when the party begins. That way you have plenty of room for all the dirty dishes from the party, and you can load as you go.

Alternatively, Selecthire is always happy to pick up our plates the next day and wash them for you!

Another handy tip is to always make sure the rubbish has been taken out —there is nothing worse then having a full bin during the party.

2.    A stress-free kitchen

Get the unpleasant tasks out of the way before the party. Prep everything you’re cooking ahead of time and wash knifes, cutting boards, and pots straight away so there is way less to clean up after the party.

Even better, hire a caterer to do all the work for you – they’re usually happy to wash up as they go to!

3.    Setting the table

Trust us, the table doesn't have to be set impeccably - but you probably want to impress your guests and an awesome centerpiece goes a long way. There are lots of talented florists in Ireland who can help.

Whether you’re opting for a formal or informal setting, these handy images below can help you:
